In June 2021 Food Secure Canada published the paper School Food and the Sustainable Development Goals: A pathway to meeting multiple goals and targets. This paper looked at the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals and demonstrates how school food initiatives are a strong pathway to advancing them.

In January 2022 the Coalition for Healthy School Food shared the following image, showing how universal healthy school food programs that are designed with the SDGs in mind have great potential to advance all of the UN SDGs.

We’re excited to see such a visual representation of how farm to school programs overwhelmingly contribute to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals!
