  • We served 370 kids, staff, volunteers, school district employees including the superintendent
  • 14 volunteers
  • 15 gr 6-7 servers
  • Food literacy education / art / decorations all over
  • White linen table cloths with beautiful fresh cut flowers
  • Volunteers all took a break and ate with SD 71 staff
  • 3 salad bars
  • Everyone ate for free
  • Everything prepared fresh starting at 8am this morning
  • 10 lbs of compost that my chickens are eating right now
  • Borrowed a salad bar and inserts from two other schools in the Comox Valley
  • Local food
  • Mexican was our theme today
