Let’s Bee Connected Foundation, Scarborough, ON
Grant term, 2025-2026

Food production, food literacy, and school food programming usually live in three separate places. Let’s Bee Connected Foundation built a model that connects them.

With a School Food Infrastructure Fund grant from Farm to Cafeteria Canada, the Black-led Scarborough nonprofit expanded its refrigeration and cold-chain capacity and deepened partnerships with Winston Churchill Collegiate Institute and two other schools — moving locally grown, culturally relevant food from gardens and growers straight into daily meals, with students involved in every step.
