On May 28, 2025, F2CC hosted: Kâpapâmahchakwêw – Wandering Spirit School’s Land-Based Learning Programming, a webinar / workshop where we learned how to create meaningful, hands-on educational experiences for students.
Drawing from their journey in traditional Indigenous foodways and their efforts toward self-sufficiency and food sovereignty, Laurie Labrecque highlighted practical ways educators can connect curriculum to the land around them. Laurie shared how integrating traditional Indigenous foodways has shaped their approach and how it has inspired others to take similar steps in their own communities.
