This Buffalo Harvest project began in 2024 with a collaboration among Meadow Lake Tribal Council, Flying Dust First Nation, Clearwater River Dene Nation, Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation and then expanded to include Buffalo River Dene Nation in 2025.

The project films an actual buffalo harvest and includes skinning, gutting and cutting the buffalo meat as part of land based learning programs in 4 schools.

Farm to Cafeteria Canada is proud to have been a contributor to this work.
