School Description

The Booker School is a Pre-Primary to Grade 8 school situated in Nova Scotia’s beautiful Annapolis Valley. Our learning is IB-inspired, inquiry-based, and concept-driven. The school campus is situated in the beautiful village of Port Williams, in a Georgian-style building on nearly 5 acres of diverse land. Our slice of the Annapolis Valley offers a wonderful outdoor education for our students to complement what is happening within our walls. Families at our school have the option of taking part in a lunch program which is provided by the VCLA (Valley Community Learning Association - https://vcla.ca/), a local non-for-profit charitable group dedicated to raising the literacy levels of adults in Kings and Annapolis Counties, Nova Scotia. Staff and learners at the VCLA prepare lunches using local ingredients. The recipes they use mainly come from Nourish Nova Scotia’s Local Food Lunch Toolkit.
