General Information

Squamish CAN, in partnership with School District 48, has built Squamish's first school farm at Howe Sound Secondary in downtown Squamish. The school farm meets both the community and students’ needs through increasing access to fresh, nutritious, culturally appropriate and locally grown food. The 12,000 sq. ft farm space provides endless learning opportunities and life-skill development for students through hands-on learning, connection to land, and various course integrations. We hope to increase food literacy in students, offer alternative educational opportunities, foster social and environmental awareness, and address food insecurity in our region. We provide regular food-growing education at the farm.
