General Information
Rooted Shores Farm is a community-focused farm and learning hub located at Snaw-Naw-As First Nation on Vancouver Island. We grow fresh vegetables, herbs, flowers, and orchard crops using regenerative, soil-building practices designed to strengthen long-term food security and climate resilience.
More than a farm, Rooted Shores is a place for hands-on learning and connection. We offer workshops, youth engagement programs, seasonal employment, and skills training in sustainable agriculture, food preservation, and small-scale farm operations. Our goal is to build local capacity — supporting community members to grow, harvest, prepare, and share food confidently.
Through CSA boxes, farm-gate sales, and partnerships with local producers, we work to keep food dollars circulating locally while increasing access to fresh, culturally meaningful foods. Rooted Shores Farm is grounded in relationship, accountability, and practical action — growing healthy food while growing skills, opportunity, and community leadership.
