School Description
We grow traditional medicines and foods within a traditional greenhouse and outdoor harvesting sites. These include Sweetgrass, Tobacco, Mint, and more. We also have an enclosed hydroponic grow trailer, where we primarily grow leafy greens and microgreens for the school and broader community. Seasonally, we harvest deer, bison, and wild berries. Our greenhouse was awarded the 2025 Clean50 Top Sustainability Project in Canada for our work on reclaiming traditional foods/medicines and conducting scientific research on the carbon sequestration potential of these plants.
