Genevieve Drisdelle

Regional Lead for New Brunswick

Biography

She/her/elle

It is my interest in agriculture that first brought up concerns about food security.

The more I learned about conventional methods, the more I sought regenerative techniques. The more I learned about growing food in harmony with nature, the more I learned about nutrients, minerals and microorganisms. I wanted to know more and so I enrolled in a Holistic Nutritionist Certification program the same year my eldest started kindergarten.

While my career as a RHN began, and my children’s studies continued, I grew increasingly aware of the importance of proper nutrition in those formative years and the growing gap between the education and availability of those foods in the public school systems.

Since joining Food For All NB as Project Coordinator, School Food has been the focal point of my efforts. I am very much looking forward to widen the scope of my work as Regional Lead for Farm to School within New Brunswick by supporting school-led initiatives to reconnect students to the land and its offerings.

Genevieve lives and works on the ancestral and unceded lands of the Mi’kmaw.
