Suzanne is a Program Coordinator at Food First NL, where she works on projects related to institutional food, food insecurity, and equity and inclusion. Before joining Food First NL, Suzanne worked at a researcher at York University’s Centre for Feminist Research. Her areas of research included rural poverty, food insecurity, and gender and economics.
Suzanne lives and works on the island of Ktaqmkuk (Newfoundland), the unceded territories of the Beothuk and the Mi’kmaq. Her work with Food First NL also extends to the homelands of the Innu of Nitassinan, the Inuit of Nunatsiavut, and the Inuit of NunatuKavut (Labrador).
