Rachael is a sustainability professional passionate about working alongside a diversity of stakeholders to address the challenges in our food system. With a background in media relations and community investment, and an MBA in Corporate Social Responsibility, she has worked with some of Canada’s most notable companies to move the dial to address systemic social and environmental barriers and issues. Currently Rachael is on Sobeys Inc.’s Sustainability team, implementing related projects such as the plastic bag ban from all Sobeys stores in Canada, and establishing practices and policies that reduce and repurpose food waste.

Rachael lives and works on the territories of the Wendake-Nionwentsïo, Mississaugas of the Credit,  Anishinabewaki, and Haudenosaunee.
